Somatics with Nicholas

This website is under construction right now, and my newsletter isn't yet started. The launch is planned for November.

Are you tired of this dull kind of suffering?

As an emotionally attuned and creative man, you probably feel that life in this society is pretty fucking exhausting. For example, if you've sought out more friendships in your life, you might have had a process that parallels this:

First, you probably have to find and decide on some event, gathering, or hub to go to. Then, you've gotta show up, manage the vibe of socializing in the space while "being yourself" enough to vibe with your kind of people. Then during that, if you've had a good vibe with someone, you invite them to meet up again. So then you've gotta plan what to do, when to do it, and finally, follow through.

After all that: you might not even connect very well. Balloon pop. Or maybe you do the first time, but the second time needed a re-schedule, and the third time gets talked about but follow-up fades away.

And you know, deep down, that feeling: this is what doing fucking anything feels like. Exhausting, dull, unrewarding; ugh.

And if you know that feeling, you've probably grappled with this systemic loneliness for a long time. Which means you've learned to make your life better in spite of it, even if 90% of the advice and common sense notions out there didn't help you find what makes your life good.

But it's hard to find the good, and harder to make it last.

If you've been experiencing things like this in your life for a long time, I just want you to sincerely know: it is absolutely possible to grow a life that's significantly less exhausting and dull, and significantly more meaningful, even within this fairly messed-up world and culture.

I'd love to offer you weekly thoughts and practices in support of that vision, from earnest looks at growing much deeper friendships, to deep dives on finding meaningfulness by figuring out what's opposite to what's frustrating you. You can sign up here.

Though maybe first you'd like to get clearer on if this approach is for you?
